Clarion Events: Enabling Secure Content Distribution Beyond the LMS

Clarion’s existing delivery model required any organization consuming their content to also adopt Clarion’s LMS environment. This led to several challenges:

• Partners who only wanted Clarion’s content, not their LMS, could not be supported
• Clarion was forced to turn away potential content-only opportunities
• Delivering Clarion content into third-party LMS platforms would typically require an additional system or content distribution tool
• Managing multiple systems would increase cost, complexity, and administrative overhead

Clarion needed a way to securely deliver their training content into external LMS platforms while still maintaining learner tracking, user identification, completion data, and control over their proprietary content, without requiring full LMS adoption.

eSkillz partnered closely with Clarion in a consultative role to evaluate multiple possible approaches. Together, the teams explored several options before identifying the most efficient and scalable path forward.

The final solution leveraged Docebo’s headless learning capabilities combined with a custom process designed and built by eSkillz specifically for Clarion. This approach extended Docebo’s native functionality beyond its standard out-of-the-box use case.

eSkillz designed and implemented a solution that allows Clarion administrators to:

• Package Docebo content into secure, shareable SCORM files
• Deliver those packages to external organizations using a different LMS
• Allow the external LMS to import and launch the content locally
• Track learner identity, participation, and completion seamlessly
• Synchronize completion and tracking data back to Docebo

From the learner’s perspective, the training experience takes place entirely inside their existing LMS. Behind the scenes, Docebo remains the system of record, ensuring Clarion’s content stays secure while maintaining centralized reporting. This approach removed the need for an additional content management or distribution system, which would traditionally be required for multi-LMS delivery.

Clarion was the first eSkillz client to implement this approach, and the solution was developed in direct response to a real partner opportunity.

The solution unlocked new commercial and operational opportunities for Clarion, including:

• The ability to offer content-only access without requiring LMS adoption
• Access to partners and audiences that would previously have declined Clarion’s model
• A lower-friction path for distributing content into third-party LMS platforms
• Reduced system complexity by avoiding the need for an additional delivery platform
• Continued security and control of Clarion’s proprietary content within Docebo

From a broader business perspective, the solution opened a new revenue path by allowing Clarion to support multiple delivery models, including full LMS adoption or content-only partnerships. The approach went beyond standard Docebo functionality and introduced capabilities that had not previously been implemented in this way.

The solution has been successfully prototyped, is live in practice, and continues to evolve through ongoing refinement and roadmap enhancements.
